Liquid fuel flow measurement and balancing system in GE-F9 turbine nozzle was unveiled in cooperation with Imam Khomeini International University and Qazvin province's Shahid Rajaei power plant

Liquid fuel flow measurement and balancing system in GE-F9 turbine nozzle was put into operation with the presence of officials from Imam Khomeini International University(IKIU) and Shahid Rajaei power plant.
 This researching achievement was produced by Dr. Parviz Asadi, an IKIU faculty member from the Mechanics department, and delivered to operate in Qazvin Province's Shahid Rajaei Power Plant.
The advantages of building a measurement and balancing system include improving the performance and turbine components' life time, speeding up the testing process from several months to several days, the possibility of testing and upgrading localized fuel nozzles in the country, completing the production chain, supply, Testing and validation of the nozzles required by turbines in the country, a significant reduction in air pollution and preventing money to run out of the country.
The capabilities of this device include fuel coverage angle test, fuel injection balance balancing test, fuel flow measurement at different operating pressures, the ability to adjust the inlet fluid pressure to the nozzle, the ability to adjust the nozzle head height from the fuel flow meter, Provide digital report and simulation by the processing system.
It is worth mentioning that balancing and turbine nozzle is one of the basic needs in power plants and its absence can increase turbine vibration, severe damage to various turbine runs, drastically reduce overhaul intervals, reduce efficiency, increase fuel consumption and significantly increase air pollution.

In the next phase, this project will be done with the use of gas fuel.
